2003 Rene Rostaing Vin de Table Français Les Lezardes
(about 1 year ago)Color - Light for a Syrah, with slight bricking at the rim. Nose - Strong cracked pepper, Iron, Blackberries, raspberries and floral components, with a bit of bacon, with a touch of heat at the end. In the mouth, very minerally, with peppered raspberries, blood, iron and bacon all in a nice river of acidity. Really nice. Day 2 - Even more floral on the nose, with bigger fruit appearing, same in the mouth, and rounded out really well. Age would make this wine even better
