Argyle 2004 Nuthouse Pinot Noir
(about 1 year ago)Nice pinot color. Nose brings cherries, almost cherry coke like, kinda slight cherry cough syrup mixed with cherries. A little tight for me. Palate has a nice mouth-feel, not bad. Wine doesn’t seem to really open up much, cherries in the hizzy' bitch, some slight burgundy roots to it but it really does remind me of a new world pinot fruit bomb. Structure seems a little sad to me, it's ok, flavor profile is simplistic but what it brings is really nice. Definite definite kids cherry cough syrup on the finish. I tend to like just a slightly more earthy, dirty, structured pinot but this is good. Is it 40 bones decent? Ehh. I don’t think so. If the boss is buying, throw this on their tab. Still, Not a bad little pour.
