89 Points Robert Parker A project of Juan Manuel Segura, the winery proprietor, and Miguel Angel de Gregorio, owner-winemaker of the highly regarded Rioja estate, Finca Allende. The 2005 Pardina is 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 6 months in French oak. Purple-colored, it offers an attractive perfume of spice box, smoke, black currant and blackberry liqueur. Ripe and supple on the palate, it has enough structure to evolve for several years. This excellent value has a pure, 30 second finish. Drink it over the next 4-6 years.

(about 1 year ago)Yum! Here we have an inexpensive bottle which doesn't just taste like grape juice. Lots of spice and dark fruit - black cherries? - on the nose, which expand on the palate, leaving a smoky finish. Robust, well-rounded, and very drinkable. This is a big wine with a little price tag. I recommend it!

(about 1 year ago)The spicy combo of 90% Tempranillo and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon delivers black currant liquor with some cedar and smoke leading to a long toasty, vanilla finish.

(11 months ago)Found a receipt for this just now. I remember having this at a party I threw for a college graduation friend. All I can remember is that it was fruit forward and somewhat smooth for a sub 10 dollar bottle. Can't remember much else from that party we had a lot of juice that night.
