Gold River Pinot Noir 03
(about 1 year ago)I have been holding this for a bit as I drank the first 2 a year apart. I was curious about the cellaring of the screw top. The color is red with a hint of orange, very light and clear. The nose is all raspberries and cherries with a mossy dirtiness to it. More non fruit smells than last time. Damn, that's a zingy son-of-a-bitch. Lots of red fruit, very light, good acid then BAM! there's all this forest floor and dirt. Keeps your mouth watering with fruit afterwards with only a hint of tannic grip at the back of the tongue. Very nice if slightly past its prime. I'd drink it for $17.99 for sure.
