This dark ruby-colored wine has an attractive nose of forest floor, mineral, and blueberry. It has a supple palate-feel, sweet fruit, and excellent balance but it is just a bit more compact on the mid-palate and shorter on the finish than the Carro. Nevertheless, it is a superb value.

The color is a dark purple which is pretty much par for the course with monastrell. On the nose there is underbrush and a distinct of molasses. This continues into the palate, which shows charcoal, tar, smoky blueberry and boysenberry over a main flavor that is a dead ringer for frogers (my bonne mom's mollasses cookie). The finish is black strap rum. Could be longer, more complex or more elegant, but is a fun, concentrated and amusing wine.

This wine has a very focussed fruity flavor. Not much acidity. Slight alcohol smell.

Dark ruby color; cherry, chocolate, tar on the nose; smooth and round with dark fruit on taste. Nice full body and not overly tannic but a short finish. Not developed enought to be complex but a fine enough wine for the value.
