Lovely perfumed aroma of blackcurrants, vanilla, tar, tobacco, eucalyptus and a nice creaminess. On the palette there are lovely fine tannins, a great purity of blackcurrant fruit along with some eucalyptus and tar. Long cassis finish with a little pepperiness. At its best 1 day after opening (cork was replaced and kept in a cool place). Think this wine is at its peak, perhaps very slightly over the hill. Lovely but drink now! Drunk 20/May/2007.
