2006 seemed a pretty good year for the Washington wine area. Wet beginning followed by cool nights and dry days. This wine highlights light and sweet. If you are a fan of things Chateau St. Michelle you won't be disapointed. Aromatics of nectar and honeydew. Flavors, a hint of citrus, honeysuckle, simple syrup. Clean snap on the palate. Works well with light appetizers or a great clean plate for a meal to rest on. The group I was with enjoyed it all around.

Chateau St. Michelle 2006 Riesling
(6 months ago)Nose vibrant, almost bursting with great apple jolly rancher notes, pear brandy, hint of mint, some honeydew mellon. Lovely. White peaches & pear syrup on the palate. Honeydew coming through. Bit of white grapefruit. Mid to light body. Clean finish. Great effervescence.
