This wine is a blend of two different fields and two different clones of Syrah. The Estrella River clone is from a field planted in 1989, while the clone 877 is from one of our newer plantings. As always, this wine shows its Eaglepoint pedigree with the telltale violet and ripe plum aroma and the structure, lushness and balance that remind us every year that Syrah planted in the right site is what its all about. We blended in 4% Grenache to add some high tones to this rich wine. Only 205 cases produced." -Winery

Very smooth and balanced tannins. Firm, lush mouthfeel. Nice flavors of very ripe plums/prunes and pepper. A great value!
