In a search for some relatively inexpensive Pinot Noir's, I took the recommendation of a trusted Wine Steward and bought a bottle of 2005, Mac Murray Ranch, Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. At 15.99 a bottle, that's reasonable for a California Pinot, since many of my favorites have now risen to the 28-35 dollar range. This is a nice wine, from a ranch settled over 150 years ago. Actor Fred Mac Murray purchased the property in the 1940's and made the ranch his home for over 50 years. Located in the Russian River Valley, the wine showcases the cool-climate necessary for

I am really po'd because I paid too much for this wine at a mainstream liquor/fine wine market. Based on what I paid, I would expect opulence; however, I got cherry cola.
