But the second bottle was the star of the evening! A 2000, Antinori Badia A Passignanno, Chianti Classico Reserve. All I can say is WOW!!! This big, rich, full flavored 100% Sangiovese base Chianti was marvelous. Soft tannins, big finish, and a remarkable intense fruitiness not found in many of the lower priced Chiantis. This Italian masterpiece was a real winner.
