2002 Pieve Del Vescovo Tezio (50/50 Cab Merlot)

This is a wine that would please any lover of old world wine because it screams of cherry sauce, tobacco and leather.

This is a serious wine to enjoy with a filet mignon or other good quality roast meat, and at 20 dollars, this is one of the biggest steals I've found.

Perhaps a little too dry for some people, this goes really well with food and shouldn't be consumed on its own.

It's also interesting to observe how these Bordeaux varietals reflect the terroir in Umbria.

Allthough this wine is not incredibly complex, the deliciousness factor of consuming this wine with an excellent meal bumped it from a 91 up to 92 points in my book.

In all seriousness, this wine is absolutley a home run with filet, at a terrific price, from an unknown region to most people!

This is what is right in the wine world today - people need to discover lesser known values like the Tezio - TODAY!
