Rated 90 points Beverage Dynamics. Stunning wine for the price; sweet dark berry fruit, bright acidity and mild tannins; a lighter style cab but elegant and very well balanced.

2005 Grayson Cellars Cabernet Sauvgnon
(about 1 year ago)This bright purple red wine has a brilliant nose of the reddest of red raspberry. The body has nice cassis and loads of raspberry, skittles and even some really nice cranberry. The wine is surprisingly lithe for a wine from Paso Robles, with very nice acidity. The finish is creamy and very pleasant. After a couple of hours breathing, an interesting note of curry and fresh baked pizza appeared on the nose and the body showed darker fruits. Great QPR. Buy as much as you can find.

(about 1 year ago)The bouquet was a little weak to me. I got a lot of alcohol on the nose, as well a bit of the oak monster, then black raspberry and cassis, with just a hint of green pepper. Tasting: Tart red raspberries with sour cherries. I got a bit of a taste of lichen-covered tree bark and tart, dark berry on the finish. Mid-palate was pretty quiet, to me. Not a bad wine, but I've had better at this price point.
