Viña Almaviva 2001
(about 1 year ago)Was not impressed with the wine at first. Aromas were dead. Tasted the wine immediately, and was impressed with how fruity, and thick the wine was at the tip of my tongue. Nice mid-palate, but did not finish very well. As the wine progressed, about three hours later the wine became a lot more structured. Nice tannins coated the entire palate, very sweet aromas of vanilla, strawberries, and chocolate. Very nice wine.
