(10 months ago)Light, lovely burgundy.
2005 Catherine et Claude Maréchal Cuvee Gravel Bourgogne
(9 months ago)Tasted on 7/29/07. A bit darker than a many pinot noirs out there. At this stage, this wine shows lots of sour cherries along with some fainter aromas of raspberries and fresh loam on the nose. Lots of sour cherry flavors on the palate. Finish is nice, but not particularly lengthy. This wine is young and I feel that it will loosen up and show more with a little bottle ageing. Pairs well with grilled salmon. It's a fun wine that I'd like to try a couple of times again within 1 to 5 years.
