This is a fun little wine. And, it does it sets out to do exactly what it does: be a really nice food friendly summer wine. Nice flavors of melon, and meyer lemon on the palate and then a really nice long citrus finish. There’s hardly any sweetness to this wine, but pair it with spicy Asian food (like they suggest) and it’s a total knockout. A real nice change from sauvignon blanc. I found it on sale at Safeway for under $8, and it's a complete steel at that rate.

Nice dry riesling, blended to go great with seafood. Great with roast pork, too. In the past Randall Gragham always made this with California, Washington state and German juice. He's since moved the riesling to WA state and rolled all the rieslings/gewurtz/chenin out of the 'bonny doon' label, if not out of his heart. Going forward he's switching to mostly WA state and german juice and we'll see if the german juice is still there in 5 or 10 years. They're really committed to WA for rieslings because of how well the riesling grapes are doing there - some excellent vinyards are coming on. The beauty of a blended wine like this, one that you like...your good winemaker like can blend one like it again. Given something good to work with. With the good juice coming out of the Columbia valley, I expect this dry and very tasty wine to remain one of my perennial favorites. Nice aperitif, but better with food. Get some "ersters" as my New Orleans in laws would say and have a ball.
