Dry Creek Vineyard 2005 Heritage Zinfandel

(5 months ago)A pretty good zinfandel. Far more purple than the usual reddish zin. Nice dark fruit nose, a bit oaky, pretty smooth tannins, really nice vanilla flavors, spice, and some dark berries. Very fruity, but not too over the top. A teeny bit too hot, 14.5% alcohol shows itself. But overall very good. I certainly wouldn't turn it down.
