Very nice fruit (plum?) and vanilla taste - I smell a surprising bit of tobacco on the nose. Quite nice.

ON THE NOSE: Crappy sour-cherry nose with tons of fake sweetness followed by a chemical aspect that is not at all enjoyable. . . . . . ON THE PALATE: This stuff is awful. . . . . . Perhaps the bottle was bad? . . . . . Perhaps the wine is bad! . . . . . No further words are needed, except: Don't waste your money! . . . . . Sorry!

Very smokey nose, almost charred. This is a gamey wine, a little astringent. Not nearly as elegant or fun as the Menguante Garnacha, which I love dearly. I'll see if this mellows out after a little air-time, but at the moment it strikes me as a bit too sharp and unbalanced.
