Acacia 2005 Chardonnay
(about 1 year ago)Acacia 2005 Chardonnay
(about 1 year ago)You know, this was just not that great for me. I remember a number of years back drinking Acacia chardonnay by the case, but it seemed to be much more reasonable then (~$14), and was a helluva lot better. This 2005 is a "pretty-generic-and-not-that-good" California chardonnay. Tropical fruit, lots of butter, tons of oak. It’s 14.6% abv, and you get every last bit of that heat in the finish. Overall, I’d say this is a total pass—especially now that they’ve upped the price to $22/bottle.
