Peppery nose, with tobacco. Peppery flavor, too, with some fruit in the back of the mouth but leather and perhaps grass on the front. Until it's had time to open, the mouth feel and flavor are extraordinarily light, so pour it early and give it time to open.

This had a strong strawberry fragrance in the bottle, with notes of grass and leather. The color was fittingly strawberry red. In the glass the smell of leather strengthens and a hint of tobacco appears. The drink itself is thin, until airing gives it acidity and adds a savory aftertaste.

Average. Lots of fruit but drinking very young. Peppery, celeric bouquet. Bright on the pallet, but a little to abrasive at the end. Sticks to the back of your throat. What? Good everyday pinot for the money- worth trying a different vintage.
