2004 Yalumba Hand Picked Shiraz / Viognier
(about 1 year ago)I usually avoid Aussie Shiraz because I have been burnt in the past by to many sugarfied, fruit explosions, but the 93 from Parker and the 5% viognier in the blend got my interest. Inviting nose of blackberries and new leather. Wonderful mix of dark fruit and tart strawberry on the palate lead to a very long finish. A little heat and to much oak on the nose and finish keep me from going as high as Mr. Parker, but overall a solid wine.

(about 1 year ago)Started off a big oakie but once it had a chance to breath really settled back. Lovely dark berry and a little bit of chocolate
