Borgogno 2006 Grignolino D'asti
(about 1 year ago) buddy icon amgryger 85.0/100
Technically a red wine, though the color is very pale, being only slightly darker than the Il Mimo Nebbiolo Rose I had last week. On the nose this wine has aromas of cherry, black pepper, and a touch of earl grey tea/bergamot. It is on the light side of medium-bodied and on the palate it tastes exactly the same way that it smells. A little short on the finish, but I enjoyed sipping on it with dinner and throughout the evening. I first tried this at a tasting where it was served with a slight chill, but I drank it at room temperature.
