2006 Yalumba Viognier
(about 1 year ago)Interesting nose of apricot with some pepper coming through. Lemon and peach on the mid palate, with a creamy/oaky finish. Not bad.

(about 1 year ago)There really wasnt any nose, mostly alcohol with some peach. There was hardly any flavor either. It was a little soapy on the front and mid palate and was tart with some oak on the finish. This wine tasted like it was watered down with soda water.

(about 1 year ago)Decent summer wine - crisp flavors of pineapple, apricot, peach. Enjoyable but not special.

(about 1 year ago)Over hyped, there is nothing that special about this wine.
2006 Yalumba Viognier
(about 1 year ago)It was crisp, it was summery, it was sometimes yummy. Drinkable on hot days especially.

(11 months ago)Lemon and Honeysuckle on the nose. Nice citris flavors.

(10 months ago)Ok, a bit tart, peachy and citrusy. The finish is a bit smoother with some oak and butter. Upfront almost fizzy and a bit harsh. Truly not great but not dreck. Buy if only less than 9.99. Probably more drinkable highly chilled on a hot summer's day!

(10 months ago)A tight nose, not revealing much. Nice mouthfeel with stone fruit driven flavors and perhaps a little over oaked. A sharp citrus finish cuts my enjoyment short.

(7 months ago)Great wine, nose of sweet peaches, and dry apricots, with hints of minerality, but highish in alcohol. Good mouthfeel, again, flavors of apricot, apple, orange zest and Christmas treelike aromas. Long finish, and over all a good buy.

(6 months ago)This wine is tolerable, but not my favorite by any means. Some decent herb flavor on the palette, but aftertaste was a bit.. Cat pee, for lack of a better term. Probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.

(2 months ago)This was my least favorite white wine of all time. A big miss for me, as I had high hopes for it going in. The alcohol was ever-apparent: on the nose, on the palate, in the finish- everywhere. I suspect that the alcohol content was just too high to hide in a white wine and it seemed to ruin everything. I had a really hard time getting through this bottle over the course of a few nights, and though I feel that there are surely other metrics against which wines should be measured I'm left thinking that this wine is really not for me. Will avoid this one in the future for sure. NOT recommended!
