Bouquet: Sour Cherries, a little alcohol underneath. Rasberry Jam and touches of roasted asparagus. Flavor Profile: Very acidic for a red wine, lacks the smoothness of other Aglianico's I have had. Hints of Tobacco, Roasted Veggies and Sour Cherry. A little heat at the mid-palate that evaporates any fruit or veggie component. Overall, mediocre, insignificant finish that goes "Kasper" on me at the tail end. For 15 bucks you could find two decent bottles of Chianti or Sangiovese Blends that would shatter this wine. A disappointment.

Subtle nose, a little green (herby?), a little resinous, not unpleasant. Good mouthfeel, smooth & dry with rounded tannins, medium bodied and warming. 87-88pts. After an hour or so I'm definitely getting some chocolate action coming though.
