Laurona 2001 Montsant
(about 1 year ago) buddy icon manual 89.0/100
Laurona is from Montsant near Taragona (not far from Barcelona) Spain and made by the people who make Clos Mogodar. ----- decanted for 1 1/2 Hours before tasting. ----- Color - on the tilt a nice brick red throughout. ----- Nose - a mixture of dark cranberry, cherry, tobacco, and socks wet with rain as you pull your foot out of your shoe. not dirty or sweaty, just wet. ----- Palate - immediate flavors of cherry and rasberry. a bit like a cough drop in the mids. well behaved tannins. clean and silky on the finish. a good amount of alcohol that will pair well with food.
