Beckmen Vineyards 2005 Cuvee Le Bec
(about 1 year ago)Nice wine, but a little unbalanced. Lots of cherry on the nose and palate. The nose has a coffee aspect, plus some nice grass. The palate is cherry and mocha, both of which linger through the fading finish.

(11 months ago)There's a sweaty foot component on the initial nose, but that blows over to reveal a nice nose of black jam, espresso...kinda like an expensive french dessert. Fruity initial taste followed by espresso and spice flavors. The wine gets much drier towards the finish. It starts out seemingly sweet, then gets sour, then finishes a bit bitter. Definitely an interesting wine.
