This is a fantastic Cab. Not your rich, oaky Napa Cab. More like a Bordeaux-blend. Very dark and rich in color, delicious from start to finish, hints of plum and coffee, great with dark chocolate. Delicious and satisfying. I will buy more...

Grace was correct that this is not your typical California Cab. It is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Syrah, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. It took me awhile to warm up to this wine. It was definitely tight. Hell, it was just released this past May so not sure why I would expect any different. The CabSauv presence just seemed lacking to me (though my wife disagreed so it perhaps could be a lingering sinus infection clouding my senses). The wine was good, but not great. I will enjoy the next bottle for sure but will definitely give it some time to develop.
