Ladera 2006 Sauvignon Blanc

This is a special sauvignon blanc. It should be - $25 is a lot for a SB. It's not a lot for a great wine, though, and this is great. Most people save high ratings for great reds, but a great SB stills deserves a shot at 100. The nose on this was tough to decipher, seemed like apple, melon and grapefruit). The taste, though, was fantastic. Honey, Lemon, peach, and a bit of mango, which was very interesting. This SB is totally Bordeaux-style. Not the light and crisp version you usually find - this is a rich and creamy SB, so know what you're getting. Almost chard-like, but without a lot of oak. This wine was an absolute knockout.
