Very mild and smooth with a ever so slight bitter finish. This wine doesn't seem to have much character.

This wine is fairly dry, with a very strong scent but not a lot of taste. My drinking companions compared its aroma to "aged bandages". It does tend to set off whatever else you're having – try this wine with slices of green pepper for a demonstration. Does not go well by itself.

A gift from my pal Ethan. Rioja is continually a varietal that I always dig, but somehow overlook when I'm buying wine. This particular bottle was really really nice. Orange zest and raspberry. Light and drinkable. Went surprising well with Eggplant Parmesan.
