Wow! This was the real deal and one of the best high end special wines I've had and at it's price point I got it around $40'ish it was a STEAL! We visited AVV in 2005 and I picked this up then. It was I think the 3rd vineyard of the day and I really liked the 2001 better than the 2002 at the time and I stand by it now . On tasting it was a superior body, color, nose, and taste. The bouquet was excellent. The color was a beautiful dark red/purple. It has a nose of moderate tannin, oak, cedar, nice berry, earthiness, and a hint of pepper. This was a awesome bottle of wine and the inlaws were very pleased to partake in this.
