Solid and complex, with classic St. Estephe firmness. The nose offers underbrush, earth, and mineral, with a slight gaminess. Medium bodied palate is pleasantly classic Bordeaux, where some nice animal hyde character comes accross. Not a blockbuster and certainly not typical of more recent Bordeaux (2003,2005) where more full bodied wines have become the norm, but fans of classic subdued claret will find this very nice. Actually fairly drinkable now, probably at its best 2010-2015.
