Chateau Morrisette 2004 Chambourcin
(about 1 year ago)A lush, complex wine with a beautiful, almost opaque deep red color. The nose is earthy, with notes of violet and blueberry. Flavors of moist earth, blueberries, spice and smoke on the palate.

(8 months ago)Earth smells and flavors prevail through this wine and are well balanced by very nice tart fruit flavor. I have had this wine several times but decanted this bottle which I've never done in the past. The fruit really comes out with decanting. In previous experiences the earthy, leather, clay flavors dominate, but after decanting the fruit flavors really make this a great wine.
