Kaiken Ultra 2004 Malbec
(about 1 year ago)Earth and wood tones with a note of cherry on the nose. It's fragrant, but unfortunately, it's overpowered by alcohol smell if you inhale deeply. Definitely smells better if given some air though. Cherry, wood, and smoke on the palate. Medium tannins. Medium length finish. Finish a bit too "alcohol-y" for my taste. This is my first Malbec, so I'm by no means an expert. It's a decent wine. But I'd price it around $15, not $20.

(about 1 year ago)Love in a glass will add more later. Very similar experience to f***ingmerlot's but did not experiance the "alcohol-y-nes"

(8 months ago)My favorite Malbec, ever. Full-bodied. Long tannins. Chocolate and dried, dark fruit.

(7 months ago)Great wine for the price. Didn't notice too heavy of alcohol overtone (compared to most of the Shiraz I drink). Hints of wood, chocolate and plum.
