Tikalo Kios 2004
(about 1 year ago)Awesome nose; big earthy beef jerky smell with some leather, vanilla, and cherries. Really one of the most aromatic wines I've had in my limited experience. Medium bodied, cherry flavor with the earthy-ness from the nose really coating my palate. Strong tannins that really dry out my mouth. I tasted this while snacking on some parmesean and pecorino cheese and it really helped mello out the dry tannins so I think this one would be a good one to pair with a meal. Nice wine, I really wasn't expecting something this interesting!

(about 1 year ago)Nose: Even after 24 hours, nose was very closed. Hints of dark spice and smoked meat. On the palate, the tannins are GRIPPING! It really drys out your mouth. An inky consistency with some spicy characteristics.
