WS-90 The nose is lifted, with notes of black plums, blackberries, spice, licorice, loam and dusty chocolate. The palate is fuller bodied, supple textured, with good fruit purity offering juicy, spiced, dark fruit flavors backed with ripe, almost powdery tannins and a tinge of chocolate richness on the finish. "Smooth and round, with ripe plum, blackberry and dusky spice flavors that just don’t quit, lingering on the open-textured finish. Not a big wine, but flavorful and graceful." WS 90 Pts.

(about 1 year ago)This is a great value! Fruity bouquet. It enters the mouth as chocolate, but evolves into a complex dark fruit. Some nice smoky pepper. Pretty well balanced too, especially for the price.

(about 1 year ago)Nice wine with a lot of fruit. Very soft finish. Nothing over the top about this wine. Great wine for grilling.

(about 1 year ago)I found this wine more fruit-forward than other reviewers seem to imply...and I like that a lot. This is the perfect wine to have after a tough day, as you prepare dinner. The fruit leaps off your palate and tackles you. Good stuff indeed.

(about 1 year ago)Instead of the fruit and flavor explosion - which, lets face it, can be messy - I often expect from an Australian Shiraz, this one was surprisingly genteel. The smoothness was good, but I was looking forward to some of that Outback body. At first, there's an incongruous alcohol note on the finish, but after breathing a bit, it disappears, and becomes a pussycat of a Shiraz - a Pinot wannabe.

(11 months ago)A decent smooth wine. I didn't find it to be fruity so much as grapey, which is a big turn off for me. It wasn't unbearable though and overall the wine was enjoyable. The flavors are bold and it's very smooth.
