A great value wine. We made a trip to Sams's Club last weekend, and found it for $12.99 a bottle. Great with anything on the grill, particularly steak. The oak and vanilla flavours are very subtle, the pepper and spice are definately *not*.

This is a bold, versatile wine. Wonderful with food, grilled and otherwise, I particularly like it by itself or with a good cheese. The other poster is right that deals can be found on this wine.

Raspberry and tobacco are on the nose. Spice and blackberry jam are forefront on the palate, with a pronounced tobacco note as well. Low acid and mild tannins take a back seat to the moderate heat and forward fruit style you come to expect in California zin's. Simple finish, but it's a very drinkable Zin on it's own, so you don't need a full out barbecue to enjoy this one.

Very nice - one of my favorites so far. Smooth and nicely balanced, yet a bold flavor with a slight dryness on the finish that really works well. Highly recommended.

Nose - Cooked Cherries, Pepper, Cinammon and cloves. Taste - Cherry, blackberry and pepper. Nice balance with zippy finish. Kicks like a mule at the finish.
