Trimbach 2004 Gewurztraminer
(about 1 year ago)This is the first Gewurztraminer I've had, so I can't compare. The lychee was overpowering, and the wine was not much different from lychee juice. There might have been a slight hint of vanilla, or I might have imagined it. Did not like the finish, which reminded me of other cheap whites.

(11 months ago)I had this in an alsacian tasting, and it stood out with respect to the riesling and pinot gris (it was the easiest to nail). Lots of tropical fruit (lychees) in the nose. Fullest body of the bunch, with a spicyness to its texture. Definitely also the sweetest of the bunch.

(6 months ago)Light gold in the color. Nose smells like soapy bath water and some fuit that I can't name. This wine is pretty light, but solid. Finishes nice and dry, but no mid palate makes me wish I picked something better.
