Pian Cornello 2001 Brunello di Montalcino
(about 1 year ago)decanted for 2 hours. the color is midnight burgundy. the aroma comes on strong with a dark berry cocoa twizzler chewy candy combo. pleasant amounts of fruit and flavor up front on the palate : blackberry, dark cherry, some oak, and also hints of cocoa powder into mids. tannins transition and come on well into mid and finish. really nice finish. some spice with fruit.
