Delille Doyenne Syrah 2004
(9 months ago)Great dark purple color. Strong pretty nose of dark berries, black licorice, raisins, with some chocolate and espresso...really a lot going on. Intro has VERY rich raspberry jam, with powerful sour cherries on the mid to late palate. Long delicious finish. Nicely balanced wine--big alcohol doesn't stand out at all. FRUIT BOMB, but the fruit is the REAL deal.
