Liparita 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon

good dark color. no variation. the nose on this is a half open door. a sunny spring afternoon with a faint breeze that is a floral mix of red fruit (cherry, currant) caressing oak tree branches. once you step outside to sip from the stream the tannins come on nicely and are filled with fruit (tart cherry, lingonberry, and hints of plum). cocoa powder texture finish mixed with vanilla and an oak seen grazing on the lawn. you can pet it. also a wonderfully dry finish that doesn't barge through the door. it comes up to the porch to say high wanting nothing more than a nice conversation. i'd say this wine is drinking at it's best right now. i think i'm ready for Spring!
