Abeja 2005 Chardonnay
(about 1 year ago)This is a massive middle finger wine with regards to the context in which I drank it. Take this review with a five pound bag of salt. Nose brings some crazy elements such as shortbread cookies and light smoke from a camp fire as well as OAK! Palate brings some nice lemon flavors as well as a good amount of pine neddles flavor as if a Washington pine tree fell over into the fermentation tank. Finish has some nice chili spice, some serious green onions, how often do you get that yo?! Nice semi-lingering finish. Not sure if I love this wine or if its’ semi-ok. I think I quite like it. Good shit.
