Seemed a little acidic to me w/ first taste. Not that fruity, not much of a nose -- first drink kind of gave me heartburn. It held up pretty well with the sushi I was eating, but just not tasty enough for me to buy again.

Opened up quite a bit after breathing for about 4 hours (the 2nd glass was much better). Nice and pleasant flowery pinot with not much of a nose and a medium finish. Better than some fruit bombs.

This wine drinks very smoothly, but overall I found it rather uninteresting. There is some lingering sweetness as mentioned by an earlier reviewer that bothered me, but not terribly. A bit more acidity would have been nice. The nose falls somewhat flat, but opened up a bit on the second day to reveal some floral and spice essences (the bottle was vacuum sealed overnight). The palate is rather one dimensional, with cherry dominating. A bit of spice (nutmeg and cardamom?) try to peak through, but don't quite make it.
