2007 Molly Dooker "The Violinist" Verdelho
(about 1 year ago)Color is quite pale yet nice. Nose brings some ridiculous alcohol and pear, almost like a mild pear brandy (congrats Sarah & Dave). Yup. That’s it. Take a pear brandy, toss in a few small handfuls of farm hay and bingo. That’s this wine. Palate brings nothing different. Strong pear and hay with alcohol overtones. Hmm. Like a white Aussie fruit bomb. Is that even possible? Explosions of over the top white fruits, pear, pineapple, even some friggin’ lychee action going on. Nothing remarkable. Reminds me of an overjuiced albarino from Spain. Not for me. Ok to get your buzz on on, Ehh for everything else. Will they ever learn that more booze is not "always" a better thing?!
