What a tremendous wine for $15. A total surprise if you're used to "Australian Shiraz" being synonymous with "fruit bomb." Right off the bat, the nose, while bringing plum and other fruits, has a hard-core vegetal, "dirty" component that reminds one of old world wine. The Viognier also plays its role prominently by bringing some floral components to the bouquet. The flavor profile is delicious - lots of cherry - mouth-puckeringly sour cherry - with plumb, pepper/spice and some definite vegetal/earth flavors. The Viognier also brings some sweetness to the table. This is a very interesting and, importantly, delicious wine - for $15 a bottle, get plenty!

Beautiful nose of rose, dust, cherry, plum, and tobacco. Lush, fruity mouthfeel with a plum and cherry midpalate. The finish is distinctly herbal. Gorgeous.

Strange combo, but like another reviewer said - it's a great value.
