A pretty well balanced wine - not expertly, but decently. Not too dry. Grenache cuts through the Shiraz for a more muted blend. All in all, a good wine for the price, so it gets 4 stars.

such a smooth wine, bursting with fruit flavors and aromas, (strawberry, cherry, fig). Very drinkable.

I saw this and thought that it must be an attempt to replicate Cotes du Rhone in Australia. While the grapes used may be similar, Cotes du Rhone, as the name implies, is all about the terroir. This wine is not bad. Floral on the nose and very sweet fruit up front. The finish is kind of short for me. Not too remarkable.

GIVE THIS WINE TIME! Out of the bottle it is heavily flawed. The alcohol overpowers and the fruit is quite unpleasent. However, a good long decant our just sitting on the table for two hours or so and this thing will really open up for you. The whole taste is muted, but not an unpleasent mute. Imagine if you will someone playing an awesome song on the radio, but its turned way down so you can't quite tell what's going on except that it's pretty good. There is some nice darker fruit in here the airation really allowed it to remind me of a pretty alright pinot I had one time. Definately a drinkable and quite pleasently so bottle. In my opinion Yellow Tail's best offering.
