Chateau Los Boldos Chardonnay Tradition 2005

Quite dry for a Chardonnay. Nose is like an unripe honeydew, and the wine surprisingly opens with some flint and astringency on the tongue. But more Chardonnay-like flavors follow, especially a little more of that unripe honeydew on the sides of the tongue and perhaps some celery in the front. Hints of honey and maybe even of some flower I can't bring to mind right now. But the astringency never goes away -- there's something of, say, a Pinot to this.
