Color : deep dark purple. a bit milky.
-----
Nose : wild berry jam and coffee grounds smeared on a dusty window ledge in the sun.
-----
Palate : elderberry/huckleberry jam on white bread toast. dark fruit. good tannins. some scrooge flavored oak from mid to finish. not obnoxious. probably a bit much though. decent finish and a nice amount of heat for 13.5. also a chalky texture left behind on the roof of my mouth. traces of milk chocolate. fruit forward. not a profound wine. not an above $20 bottle by any means. enjoyable, now that it's open, for a tuesday night.

I’m no expert but I have tasted over 50 different red wines and Barossa Valley Estate - Ebenezer 2001 Shiraz seems excessively bitter with no good before or after notes.
