Nose shows mineral and cassis (smells like cabernet). The merlot shows more on the body, with blackberry, black cherry and other mixed dark fruits. Also notes of bitter chocolate and a very strong suggestion of anise liquor. The finish is rich, with minerals noting its origin despite the wine’s new world richness.
