Dry on the front of the pallet, sweet on the back. Smooth finish, Great wine for a good price.

We had this wine with fish and root roast. It went down way too easy I tell you. No wierd tastes, just smooth and nice.

Nice nose with hints of dark cherries dipped in chocolate. Yummy wine with some pepper and sourness. Smooth ample finish. Nicely balanced wine overall. There is nothing bad about this wine at all, and it has some good qualities, but it didn't really have the wow factor for me. Solid 89 to 89+ wine.

Decanted 1 hour. Earthy and gamey on the nose with a hints of vanilla and blackberry. Subtle tannins with plum flavors off the top and finishing with hint of roast lamb(?). A longer finish would have allowed me to score this higher, but a fantastic value wine at this price point here in Canada! Decanted two hours and still exploring new flavors and enjoying it even more.

The pallet is restrained with some black pepper. The nose is dark ripe fruit. A slight bit of flabbiness but very drinkable. Two days later, this wine really opened up. The tannins were still there but the fruit was gorgeous and the flabbiness was gone. I would lay this down for a year and see what happens. First Day score: 86. New score 88.
