Dark intense ruby red with a powerful nose of sweet dark fruits, chocolate and vanilla, even hints of orange. Tannins are a little aggressive, mid-full bodied, a very fruity mid palate with the strawberries continuing through. Nicely alcoholic on the finish. Really surprising complexity to the wine - 90 Points

unique nose, strong opening, balanced tones throughout, fruity new world finish, not too dry, deep and dark color

Mixture of citrus and cherry pie on the nose. Sour cherry and strawberry flavor with a long finish and tart tannins.

An excellent value-for-money label, at least here in Italy. I find the wine to be very aromatic. At first sniff, you get a heady mixture of dried fruit followed by layer upon layer of earth and chocolate. I like its rich mouth feel and its slightly warm and spicy tannins. INterestingly enough for an old world wine Felline maintains its old world structuring while dabbling in the new and there is a strong layer of oak toastiness that is so popular with North American palates today.
