Creekbend Vineyard 2006 Chambourcin
(9 months ago)Cherry, Strawberry up top with some vanilla and toastiness at the bottom. Very smooth. Light and enjoyable anytime. A really amazing finish that keeps me going back to the winery for more.
Creekbend Vineyard 2006 Chambourcin
(4 months ago)aromas of sweet berries and vanilla, ruby red, light body. Tannins are quite present but not overpowering. Overall, this red is tight and well balanced. Probably a little too delicate to pair with strong meats, but otherwise it's very versatile. Could probably stand 1-3 more years of aging to mellow the tannins a bit. This is VERY impressive for an estate bottled wine from Indiana. Who knew? Nice job Oliver. I look forward to picking up more of this when I'm back in Indiana next fall.
